How OCA delivers value for Farmer Organisations
OCA links farmer organisations to committed buyers, fair premiums, and the verification systems that make organic cotton credible from field to fashion.
Join a global network pushing positive change
Farmer organisations doing good work on the ground often face the same problem: the market doesn’t reach them. Buyers want verified organic cotton, but the connections, systems, and trust needed to make that happen aren’t always in place.
OCA bridges that gap. By joining OCA’s network, farmer organisations gain access to brands that have made pre-season purchase commitments, a verification framework that gives buyers confidence in the organic integrity of your cotton, and a support structure that helps farmers stay organic and grow.

Apply through our OCA Contributor application form. Applications are reviewed by OCA staff and the Board of Trustees. OCA undertakes a thorough analysis of each application to ensure all criteria are met. Once approved, prospective Contributors must pay a fee and sign a Contributor Agreement giving them access to the OCA Platform. The entire process can take up to three months.
OCA favours longer-term partnerships to support farmers in transitioning to organic production or to facilitate sector-wide development, as they prove to be fundamental for the larger shift we want to see.
In our last farming season of 2022-2023, OCA connected our Brands & Retailers’ Contributors with around 80,000 farmers, which committed more than 90,000 hectares of farmland to organic cotton. Join OCA today and be part of a purpose-driven alliance committed to enhancing your organisation’s sustainability efforts and growth. Together, we can drive impactful change by reshaping organic cotton.
