OCA acts as a catalyst for change. It creates the conditions for organic cotton to thrive; it convenes the sector around a common agenda, it improves farmer prosperity and it bolsters the integrity of the organic cotton sector.

OCA’s mission is to unite the sector to unleash the potential of organic cotton and deliver positive change for people and the planet. It acts as a conduit between the organic cotton standards and other industry and civil society stakeholders. OCA therefore has dialogue and collaboration with its Contributors and is supportive of other like-minded organisations and initiatives, including Textile Exchange and the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

OCA unites the sector around a common agenda, bringing together all stakeholders in a common vision and driving real behaviour change. Farm level interventions deliver a secure market for farmers and supply chain transparency, whilst investments in seed, research, industry standards and traceability innovations create the conditions for a healthy and resilient sector.
