What we have achieved to date

The Organic Cotton Effect starts with, and depends on, thousands of farmers who choose a different path.

By transitioning to organic cotton, these farmers are improving their livelihoods, strengthening their resilience, and regenerating the land they depend on. Their choices create a ripple effect of positivity that extends far beyond individual farms, shaping more sustainable supply chains and communities.

Farmers like Bünyamin are at the heart of this transformation.

Where we are active

OCA works hand in hand with farmers and partners in key organic cotton regions, focusing on where organic practices create real social, environmental, and economic impact. By combining local expertise with global collaboration, we support farmers on the ground while building resilient, transparent supply chains across borders.

Strategic partnerships are at the heart of how we grow. By teaming up with local organizations, suppliers, and industry stakeholders, we can expand into new regions effectively and responsibly. These collaborations let us reach more farmers, strengthen sustainable value chains, and scale organic cotton practices while staying true to quality and integrity.

Our programmes are tailored to each country’s unique needs, ensuring that support is relevant, practical, and impactful.

  • India: 96,763 farmers, 127,330 hectares and 40 partners (2024-2025 season)
  • Pakistan: 3,993 farmers, 10,577 hectares and 7 partners (2024-2025 season)
  • Türkiye: 88 farmers, 3,051 hectares and 10 partners (2024-2025 season)

This regional presence lets us adapt to local needs while delivering consistent, measurable impact across every country we work in.
